Children & Young People's Occupational Therapy Service
Occupational Therapy enables people to participate in daily life to improve their health and well being. Occupational Therapists provide advice, reassurance, support, assessment and intervention to help children and young people to develop their skills in everyday activities. This may involve self-care, productivity and/or leisure skills.
Children and Young People's Occupational Therapists work closely with the child, their family and members of staff from different teams, including schools and nurseries to identify areas of need in order to help with specific functional difficulties. The children and young people’s OT service is for children from birth to school leaving age.
